Crank brothers pedals, Candy SL compatable with Addidas shoes ?

Currently using Addidas 'Cyclone' cycling shoes with various Shimano pedals which are easily ajusted for quick entry and release, Do Crank Brothers Candy SL & Eggbeater SL pedals have an ajustable system on the pedals and are they compatable with the previously mentioned shoe ?

No, they don't have adjustable tension, but they don't need it. They're very easy to get out of. The cleat is reversible, however.....one of them is marked, and depending on which shoe you put it on you can have either a 15° or a 20° release angle. Most people prefer the 15° angle (it's actually easier to unclip with it set up that way).

They should fit your shoe with no trouble at all. Occasionally you need to put a shim under the cleat (the pedals come with them) or trim away part of the cleats on mountain bike shoes...that's common to all shoes and pedals, not just the ones you're looking at.

The only slight disadvantage with eggbeaters is that if you happen to go over the bars, you may not instinctively come out of the pedals. Shimano and Time pedals will let you pull straight up and out (instead of twisting to the outside like normal). With eggbeaters you can't do that. Other than that, they're easy to clip in and out of and I can't think of any other thing that doesn't make them just superior.

I love CB pedals....I have 2 pairs of stainless eggbeaters, 2 pairs of Mallets, and some Quattros on the road bike. Great company and great products! )
