Offside & Rear Brake Hose Help Peugeot 306?
Hi i have a peugeot 306 and it failed the mot on 2 things the offside rear brake hose was twisted and also the nearside rear brake hose had excessive corrosion. How much would a garage charge to fix this problem and do you know if its easy to fix. thanx
If you are not going to do the work yourself, then I think a mechanic should be able to change both hoses in ONE HOUR. no more. Maybe 1 1/2 if your bolts are very very corroded with rust.??
Then he will have to bleed air from the brake lines, and add some brake fluid., this could round out the 2 hours' labour.
Hoses probably cost 10 pounds each?? ((here are brake hoses for the 306 at 5 to 9 pounds each, disc brakes, click on second, third box))

He will suggest that you change the entire brake fluid, be ready for that suggestion.
The brake hose was twisted because the last person to work on that brake caliper did not put it back on correctly.
