So many of us use herbs and vegetables from our gardens regularly for daily cooking. It's much more practical These plant species closely together for the meeting quickly. When you take a fresh tomato salad is so handy to have tomatoes, green onion and basil planted close together. All you have to do is pick, throw in a bowl, add some olive oil in your salad and ready to go. The only thing that should be concerned with, is that all those plants to grow under the same conditions relative.
Here are some ideas for themed planting schemes that cook in your family will love.
Pizza Garden
Coincidentally, many common ingredients pizza thrive in conditions similar to the sun, watered well. Some examples include tomatoes, red peppers and green, onions, jalapenos, basil, oregano, thyme and parsley.
Start with an 8-foot circle of dirt and divided into slices equal for each plant. Put a border around your garden pizza with bricks, or plastic edging.
Suggested amount for your plants include:
basil - 3
oregano - 1
seed onions - 12
peppers - 3
jalapenos - 3
Thyme - 1
Roma tomatoes - 1
Tomatoes should be located in the northernmost part so that it will not overshadow other plants.
Salsa Garden
This can easily be placed in a container and displayed on deck, right outside the kitchen. Include two hot chili peppers, a golden tomato, a beefsteak tomatoes, cilantro, five-star steak or jet tomato plants, three basil, a drizzle, a thyme and garlic.
Salad Garden
Keep a good supply of veggies and crunchy salad plants nearby. Start with three plants each such different lettuces as romaine, leaf lettuce and ice Berg. Also includes three tomato plants, 6 green onions, 1 radish, 2 basil, a row of cucumbers and any other veggies you like.
Tea Garden
I love having a new supply of plants on hand to pick and add a cup of hot water for tea. Some of my favorites include balm chamomile, bee (also pretty red flowers, but if you use leaves that is what Earl Grey tea is made from), catmint, lemon flavor, mint (dozens of varieties - Even chocolate), and spearmint.
Garden Pie
Imagine making a pie from berries and Selected fruit right from your door. Easy growers include:
Blueberries and currant bushes: Plant a row as a whole only fence.
Strawberries: These are situated in a large container on a slope to cover the earth, or in rows as a decorative border. In the spring they will be covered with white flowers and autumn leaves would change in the plant's sturdy, they will grow like weeds. Be sure to choose the kind ever having to produce fruit from midsummer to frost. They grow well in light to medium shade so it will not get all your sunny garden treasure indeed.
